The use of technology has impacted almost everything. From matters of national security to ordinary aspects of daily life, technology has brought about some significant changes. This change is evident in every walk of life. The consumer products have also undergone a drastic change in the past two to three decades but the delivery of goods has not witnessed any change in many years, aside from being available online and the logistics for delivering them by traditional methods. Consumers and sellers still rely on delivery service providers like FedEx, UPS, USPS and other courier services for the delivery of their orders. These companies can take anywhere from a few days to a week to deliver the order. This causes delays in delivery and upsets customers.
Welcome to this 21st day of October, 12-years into the 21st century. I wish thank all my online readers and radio listeners for their continued support. For today’s talk I will discuss many items having to do with our technology for domestic purposes; entertainment, safety, education, and personal communication. It all matters and it is changing the way we live, how we think, and our path forward into the future. Indeed, these are all interrelated topics which shouldn’t be necessarily viewed as separate issues in my humble opinion.
We are all aware of the fast pace at which technology moves. During one’s lifetime we can name several technological changes at different points in our lives. At least every five years, if not closer, there are very notable changes in technology which help us to keep our personal time lines in order. Technology is probably the third most referenced subject when trying to recall a time or an event; right after music and movies. How many times have you said, “The time that I did…. was when…. (technological reference)”, associating memories in your life with the technology of that same time? Many of us do. Just as it is easy to recall a song or movie you so enjoyed, it is just as easy to recall a change in technology.
